Recent book review

I promise to still post my favorite fiction from 2018, but in the meantime, I want to share with you a book review I did for my weekly column that was posted today. I highly recommend this, another non-fiction book I thoroughly enjoyed:

Probably not a book I would have picked up on my own, your review has convinced me to put it on my wish list. I'm intrigued by the notion of tithing time as opposed to money!

I'm still looking forward to your "best fiction of 2018" post!

Sounds like an interesting book and I think it will end up on my list as well. Part of our tithing to the church has always been large chunks of time. I have also thought about going on some mission work through the church when the kids are older but haven't done that yet. Setting a year + four months aside to do charity works is something that appeals to me greatly. Thanks for the review.

Thanks Kelly and Ed. There is so much more I could say about this book but it reads like a story and I don’t want to give it all away! In fact, my older son has started it and said he’s not going to read my review until he’s done! One of the most impressive parts for me was learning yet again how, when we ask God for something, He often goes so far beyond — “exceedingly abundantly” — what we ask.
