(Just kidding you totally deserved a day all about you..although there should be daughter's day)Anywho...

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord --Ephesians 6:4

I think you must have read this verse when you became a Dad. I guess you're pretty good and "training and instructing" us. Although sometimes I disagree with what you say...but no worries if I don't agree with you I'll direct my own path! :)

Love you!
Happy Father's Day to the greatest Dad in the world!

Sincerely,
your favorite daughter!Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03269941617313168020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2987040098977019674.post-15219692364286227502009-06-21T13:46:22.060-05:002009-06-21T13:46:22.060-05:00Happy Father's Day, Bob!!! What a wonderful p...Happy Father's Day, Bob!!! What a wonderful post! Made me smile...BIG!

As Kelly said, it's been 39 years since our dad died. I was an adult when he died and so have very clear and cherished memories of him. In fact, it really rocked my world for years when he died.

He had plenty of flaws that I've acknowledged to myself and my sibs over the years. Doesn't diminish my love or my feelings of loss at his death, even now. He was "Daddy" and I was a Daddy's girl.

My kids have a good dad. Hard for me to see when we were married, but he loves his kids.

I ache for the fact that my Connor and Sam have no father, for all intents and purposes. The one they have never calls or sees them, nor does he really care. How sad and what a loss for him!!!

Father's Day makes me feel more intensely what they are missing. Connor told me today that he really did have 2 parents. He said I was his grandma and his parent along with my daughter. He said it was like he had 2 mothers.

While that touched my heart, it also made me sad for him.

Again, Happy Father's Day! Revel in the fact that you ARE a good (you could never be perfect) dad and your kids are the proof in the pudding that you're doing a great job!! :)Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17133743056974995270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2987040098977019674.post-60049043630629898192009-06-21T12:37:47.407-05:002009-06-21T12:37:47.407-05:00Happy Father' Day, Bob!

I'm sorry I really never got a chance to know him well.

I do remember your father, though, and I always liked him. When we would see each other at church he would always speak of you with such pride.

Yes, cherish those good memories and let the others go.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00859017153454691633noreply@blogger.com
